Whether I'm recording, teaching or playing live, I consistantly like the sound,
of new strings. Old strings get grungy and develop
flat spots where the most frequently played frets make contact.

Changing strings is the quickest and least expensive way to
improve the tone of your guitar.
I change my strings before every gig or recording session.
I always carry at least three sets of new strings with every instrument.
These reliable Darco electric strings, made by the CF Martin Guitar Company,
are the strings that my professionally played electric guitars wear.
I wouldn't sell them if I didn't like them so much
and use them myself!
