Here's yet another string I've been experimenting with.
And I like it!

GHS Vintage Bronze

First off, let me say that it's tough work, sitting around my ranch with
fifteen instruments, testing and experimenting with strings all day and night.
But, I was chosen for the job, so I've gotta do it..;-)..

These acoustic guitar strings are wound with wire that is 85/15 Bronze,
not phosphor bronze and not 80/20 bronze (or brass). That means the ratio of
copper to zinc is 85 to 15, instead of 92 to 8 as it is in a typical PhosBronze string,
or 80/20 as it is in most non PhosBronze strings.

GHS suggests that these 85/15's sound somewhere between silk and steel strings
on the mellow end, and Phosphor Bronze strings on the bright side.
In other words, they are a little more mellow than Phosphor Bronze.
That makes them just about the most mellow strings of any conventional
style string, except for silk and steel. And unlike silk and steel, they still
have the punch and immediacy (is that a word?) of typical bronze/brass strings.
